--------
Henriquez, Father Theodoro Thyrso ? Henrique Henriquez must know whether Father Tirso de Peleagonzalo, O.M.Cap. and Villaproveda, Chaplains of the First and Second Battalions know French well enough to teach, preach and administer the Sacrament of Penance. Portillo is to give a certified opinion and if he does not know, he is to examine them. L.S. (Spanish)
--------
Portillo, Father Joaquin de
to Father Theodoro Thirso Henriquez Portillo certifies that it is evident to him, without conducting an examination, that Peleagonzalo and Villaprovedo, although they have studied French, are not able to teach it, much less to preach and hear the confessions of their French parishioners.
