LOUISIANA: VICARIATE OF THE SOUTH, 1876
"Concerning the house in the South, known by the name of Vicariate of the South, Fr. Colovin was requested to call on the Superior General to request him to enlighten the Chapter regarding the future dependency of houses in the Vicariate. He replied not to consider the Vicariate of the South as any longer existing and consequently to give obediences to all the known members there and to supply other necessary members if possible.
