Opitz and Gregor Sebba, Sttutgart: Klett-Cotta, 1981), a 12-page paper (unpublished) entitled "The Church, the Shepherds, and the Spirit of Our Time," a 3-page paper on Flannery O'Connor, the text of a 5-page talk entitled "How To Talk to Mature People About Death," an 11-page (unpublished) paper entitled "Stewardship -- Theory and Practice," and approximately 15 typed pages of lecture notes under the titles of "The Solitary Thinkers" and "Autonomy vs. Authority."

The titles of the included articles are "New Episcopal synod could divide church," "New Group Fights Episcopal Changes," "Traditional Episcopalians may form separate synod," "Traditional Episcopalians form separate faction within church," and "Traditionalist Episcopalians Form A 'Church Within A Church'." Also included are the Constitution of the Episcopal Synod of America in Fort Worth and other articles on the relationship of the Christian Church to modernity.

A large collection of correspondence and articles relating to Niemeyer's decision to leave the Episcopal Church and convert to Roman Catholicism in 1993. Included are numerous letters between Niemeyer and the Church hierarchies of the dioceses of both the Roman Catholic Church and Episcopal Church, between Niemeyer and former parishioners, and between Niemeyer and his son Paul. The articles included relate to the large-scale conversion of Episcopalians to the Orthodox or Roman Catholic Churches in the wake of the increasing liberalism of the Episcopal Church, as well as a number of articles relating to the propriety of ordaining women to the priesthood of the Episcopal Church.

Niemeyer is listed as a "Sponsor" of the Society for the Preservation of the Book of Common Prayer and was very actively engaged in the matter. Many issues of the "Prayer Book Papers," a publication of the Society, are included, as well as numerous letters from Niemeyer to his superiors in the Episcopal Church regarding the revision of the Book of Common Prayer.
