Periodic statements, arranged chronologically, showing the amount of debt at the beginning and end of the period; a list of extraordinary expenses showing account or purpose and amount; and a similar list of extraordinary receipts. The usual time period is one year; the last statement covers the years 1898 to 1905.
Two books, one largely duplicating the other, showing the financial status of each CSC establishment in the USA as of the end of the fiscal year. Listed for each establishment is 1) cash balance; 2) cash received; 3) cash borrowed; 4) cash expenses; 5) borrowed money returned; 6) money to Province House; 7) cash on hand at the time of the report; 8) value of moveables; 9) value of immoveables; 10) bills receeived and debts due; 11) provisions, stationary, etc; 12) total active; 13) total passive; and 14) net capital.
For the years common to both, these two books should contain identical information; however, there are a number of unexplained discrepencies in the figures.

Hummer of Chicago for Collection, 25 Feb 1898; a nominal list and an analysis of board and tuition rates and special rates for Minims and regular students; and 2 Athletic Association Treasurer's Reports / Accounts, 1st Quarter 1898 and fiscal year 1898/99.
Two volumes each containing seperate sections for notes and bills payable and notes and bills receivable. Each entry consists of the date of the note or bill, the name of the person drawing the note or bill and the name of the person receiving it, the account on which it was drawn, the period and terms, the amount, and various notations pertaining to payments of interest and principal and the final settlement.
The entries in each section are arranged roughly by date of the note; a new list, which included only currently outstanding bills and notes, was drawn up every several years and later every year.
Related volumes: The "Quarterly Financial Statistics/ Statements Books" contain a list of all notes and bills payable and receivable at the end of each quarter; presumably, these volumes were used to compile the "Quarterly Financial Statistics".
Four books, arranged chronologically, containing printed pages of receipt slips and occasionally additional pasted in printed or handwritten notes and receipt slips, all recording the date, amount, and signature of the recipient. The whereabouts of the missing volumes is not known.
A very brief recordbook showing amount and type of cash received, the date, sometimes the person involved, amounts and persons to whom money was turned over, and periodically the amount of cash on hand. Usually money was turned over to Brother Alban. This recordbook's context and significance are completely unknown.
Eight books containing a record of telegrams sent (or charged) over Western Union's, and later also the Postal Telegraph-Cable Co.'s, lines via South Bend, IN; including the date, city of origin or destination, last name of sender and/or recipient, and cost.
Arranged chronologically. The whereabouts of the missing volumes is unknown.
Also contains James F. Edward's Library and Crescent Club receipts, accounts, and nominal lists of fees paid, 1889-93.
Includes a pasted in bill sent by the Western Union Telegraph Co. to St Mary's Academy for the month of September 1887.
