  A book review of John Toland's "Adolf Hitler." ~ In John Toland's book, we are introduced to other Hitlers: the indulgent lover; the considerate employer; the kleinburgerliche moralist endlessly pontificationg on all matters of personal taste and behavioral propriety. The book is more the chronicle of a regime than the biography of a man. Overall, Gordon Zahn believes it is a fine, thorough and courageous book that deserves to be taken into account in any attempt to understand Hitler and the history he made.

One would presume that a pacifist looking at the contemporary Latin American scene would first of all critique the neo-facist wave of terror organized by many reigning states in that area."

  Discusses the progress of foster child, Jenny Quinde. She is now attending 5th grade at a private school. She has not had any serious illnesses and the assistance from Plan provides her with a good education, a proper diet, school supplies, and cloth. Her father is a carpenter and her grandmother does the housework. Her mother is not living with them anymore. They are still living in the same house and they keep it in good and proper order.

She explains that Tom knew Joe Holland was already preparing a letter to WORLDVIEW about his piece, and that it would be done in a much shorter time than from someone who hasn't already read his piece. Neither she nor Tom were prepared for this kind of response.

  A newspaper article from the NATIONAL COURIER in the international section under the heading "How justified is violence?" ~ "The question of condoning violence has become a point of debate between liberation theologians and their critics." This article quotes several people related to liberation theology. Dr. Gordon Zahn says very few liberation theologians are as quick to condemn the violence of the forces they support as they are to condemn the violence directed against them. He was also quoted from an article in the March issue of WORLDVIEW .
