He then outlines the Catholic Church's teaching on war considering the "just war" and the "modern war." Gordon goes on to assert that Christian pacifism should be primary, however it is far from being accomplished, and he gives examples from the church. Gordon calls for a new attitude and new teachings and actions from the church, giving suggestions of what and how.
