'St. Thomas College (1947-1949)' is where he continued his education in Sociology. 'Catholic University (1949-1953)' chronicles his graduate studies. 'Harvard University' shows the great influence of Talcott Parsons on his career. 'Loyola University (1953-1967)' was brought to him through another Furfey protege, Paul Mundy; he also began his work in Germany. 'University of Massachusetts at Boston: (1967-1980)' tells how he received the professorship. Pax also really started to take off during this period. 'First Retirement: August 31, 1981' he attributes to a desire to get out of the routine. 'The Center on Conscience and War: (1981-1991)' was developed as a result of the political tensions of the times and he felt very needed. 1-23
