Gamarra, Father Francisco to Father Antonio de Sedella, auxiliary vicar, (New Orleans, Louisiana) He has received the articles Sedella sent him in care of (______) Fonteno(u). Everything arrived in good condition save the keg of wine which according to Louis Blanc, commandant of Natchitoches, had been worm eaten. He is sorry that the collection of the debt from Antonio Blanc should cause Sedella so much trouble. He understands that Sedella has collected 700 pesos from (______) Dapremot out of which he sent the articles above mentioned; Gamarra encloses a receipt for the amount of the articles. He mentioned some more articles he would like to have sent. As for the debt owed by the Catalans, J(ose)phe Sanabre and Ju(an) Esparrago would be paid if the people of the town who owe to these Catalans would pay up. P.S. He is sending Sedella two wine skins, the best he could obtain.
--------
Gamarra, Father Francisco He declares that he has received from Sedella a statement of accounts including the cost of a shipment to Na(t)chitoches (Louisiana) all on payment of the debt contracted by Antonio Blanc with the mission of Bahia del Espiritu Santo, which debt Father Sedella is trying to collect.
