Sedella, (O.M.Cap.), Father Antonio de
New Orleans, (Louisiana)
to (Estevan Miro), Governor of Louisiana
(New Orleans)
(Memorial)
Father
Sedella, ex-lecturer of Theology, Commissary of the Holy Office and
priest in charge of the church (of St. Louis) in New Orleans says
that he acted as manager of the fabrique of said church from March
21, 1788 to the end of December, 1789 because of the resignation of
Mr. Antonio Ramis and because another capable person could not be
found. He met the expenses necessary for the divine cult and then
resigned when Ramis returned. He has turned over to Ramis the
accounts for the time above mentioned and now petitions (Miro) to
name accountants to audit the accounts and to give the
corresponding certificate of settlement.
