Hassett [Hassett], Father Thomas
New Orleans, (Louisiana)

to Manuel (de) Salcedo
(New Orleans, Louisiana)

Of the three assistantships and one sacristanship in the Cathedral, two are occupied by Father Pedro de Zamora and Father Felix de Quintanar, the latter serving as chaplain of the Ursulines, being excused from the service in the church. Father Patrick Lonergan, (O.F.M.), an Irish Franciscan 50 years old, has presented himself with papers from Spain as well as North America. He knows French and Spanish and Hassett deems him fit for the assistantship vacancy where he will place him if consent is given.
