Becnel is the son of Pedro Becnel and Magdalena Aidel, daughter of Carlota Oubri and Christoval Aidel, son of Ambrosio Aidel and Margarita Chofe. His fiancee of the same parish, is the daughter of Margarita Bosonier and Juan Aidel, son of the above Aidel and Margarita Chofe. Eracia is not poor but her father has six children.

Quintero adds in a note that he sent a letter to Father Geronimo Blace, pastor of St. Charles.
