  Ferenc wishes good health to ALG and encloses couple of articles form the "New Man" newspaper having to do with the reestablishement of the Prémontré Canonical Order in Hungary after being censored during communism. According to the articles, now not only the provostry of Csorna but also the priory at Gödöllő are being self-sufficient and are opening their doors to the youth. Membership in the Order has plummeted from 64 in 1950 to 17 in 1990. Ferenc is sad to hear that their 50th reunion has not been that successful due to the slim number of people attending the ceremony. Hungarian

  As the newest acquisition of the revitalized Prémontré Priory Library, Ottó will place ALG's prestigious volume on the main shelf. Upon ALG's visit to Hungary, Ottó invites ALG to visit him on June 3rd, at the priory at Gödöllő, all the more since he can't make it to ALG's high mass at Saint Margaret Island in Budapest on the 4th. Otto' asks ALG not to comment on the future plans and legal claims of the order when he is being interviewed in the Hungarian TV or radio and hopes for ALG's understanding in this matter. Hungarian

As a member of the Premontré Order of Gödöllő, he has received from Godefried some of ALG's French books that were left behind when he moved to America. As a reminisce, he sent some of them to ALG long time ago, but what was left over József passed it on to Cardinal Lékai. As a consequence, he didn't keep any of ALG's books. Hungarian

  Mari has overheard the interview with ALG on TV in Budapest, Hungary. She was happy to hear that ALG, although living so far from his homeland, had always been proud of his Hungarian roots. ALG articulated what people in Hungary are too modest to express: that the world should be more appreciative of the many genius Hungarians who have enriched the whole humanity, such as Ady Endre, Bartók Béla, Karinthy Frigyes, Ferencsik János, Szentgyörgyi Albert etc. Since she had problems deciphering ALG's handwriting, she asks ALG to type his next letter. The endowment received by Bernát Kumorovitz makes it possible to build a Private Prémontré Chapel. Ottó heard the news from ALG's student about ALG's upcoming trip to Budapest soon. After missing each other several times, he would be happy to meet ALG this time at Gödöllő. Hungarian

  ALG is sorry to note that he will visit Budapest just for three days (out of which one day he will be visiting his parents grave at Pécs) consequently he won't have time to travel to Gödöllő. But ALG would be happy to meet or talk to Ottó in Budapest. ALG informs the prior of Gödöllő about his connection with the current President of Hungary, Antall József, who might be of help resolving their legal problems. This also includes a pension plan for ALG's previous work at the French Institute of the Gödöllő Gymnasium where his salary was taken away from him. ALG wants to be recompensated for these losses. He is sorry to have so many bad memories from Gödöllő. There he has received no help from the order moreover their French "professor" turned out to be a French spy. Now ALG, persecuted by the Gestapo while being the head of the French Institute, should be getting financial compensation, teh same way as Jews are rehabilitated too. Hungarian

  ALG is sorry to dissapoint Gilbert with his answer. He was surprised to read the misinformation in the Hungarian Catholic Newspaper about the Academy and the Káldi Association, which was rendered by Gilbert. He reported it immediately to Rome and now ALG is handing in his resignation. There are many confusions and unclarified matters around the Káldi Association and the Academy, which would make it impossible for him to lead the Institute alone and in peace with scientific values. One confusion is around publishing -- if professors send in their essays to Civitas Dei than the Academy's Scientiis Artibusque existence is in jeopardy. ALG is returning Dr. Kubinszky's C.V.. He is astonished that Gilbert sent it to him at the first place -- as only members of the Academy can send in their prospective candidates -- not to mention that Kubinszky is not a right fit for academic membership. Being an old fashioned man, ALG thinks that prospective members of the Academy need to be elected. ALG begs pardon for typing this letter without accent.
