He also congratulates Marta for her concert. ALG plans to visit Budapest, Hungary, on September 26th for the ceremony of the University of Budapest. Should Notre Dame be included in this event, ALG is to represent the university. Therefore, he sends Very Reverend Dr. Dr. h.c. pluribus Theodore M. Hesburgh C.S.C.'s address. He also intends to attend the initiation ceremonies held for the honorary doctors' degrees. ALG wishes to meet György both in Stuttgart and in Budapest and sends his regards to Marta. ALG dosn't know anybody, who might be helpful in this regard. Now ALG is busy preparing for the Stuttgart meeting. Although each country can send only two delegates, there are many applicants already. ALG himself will preside the meeting. Hungarian

He now writes a note that he will be participating. He intends to be present at the meetings of the History of Universities, if they are not in conflict with the Rennaisance meetings, which he is involved with. Sándor is sad to note that for years ALG and him don't keep in touch. He sends information concerning the Hungarian branch of the Supreme Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem, including his pilgrimage last year to the Holy Land. He would be obliged if ALG would accept the title of prior of the Canadian Hungarian chapter. Thus ALG could promote the vestry of the Military Order of the Templars. He sends his travel plans and proposes to meet ALG in Madrid, Spain, later, if ALG will miss the meeting in Canada. Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.02 Letter : Dr. Udvardy Tibor to ALG 1983/0325
Tibor, together with other Hungarians, will fly to Paris, France, this coming Fall. They intend to promote the Hungarian cause and convince the French to correct the unjustly signed Treaty of Trianon, the peace agreement signed in 1920. He would like to know whether ALG will participate in the ceremonies and whether he can contact the president of the French Academy of Sciences for the sake of the cause. Tibor gives his otherwise confidential phone number to ALG. Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.03 Letter : Dr. Udvardy Tibor to ALG 1983/0427
ALG's many honors and his membership in the French Academy prompted Tibor to ask ALG for help. He wishes ALG to contact members of the Academy and other influential political friends in Europe to call attention to the injustice of the Treaty of Trianon. Tibor also invites ALG to address the Hungarian Museum in New York next fall. Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.04 Letter : Dr. Bokor Pál to ALG 1978

Having to do with ALG C.S.L.S. companionship in The Royal Hungarian Saint László Society, and ALG's acceptance of the principles and rules of the Order Societas Sancti Georgii established in 1326. Tested and signed by the Hungarian Prior Templar, Frére Pál de Bokor. Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.07 Letter : Dr. Udvardy Tibor to ALG 1977/1220
Tibor has just received ALG's brief letter written in English. As the president of the American-Hungarian Bicentennial Commission, Tibor asks ALG to use his connections in the U.S. Senate to obtain a room in the Capitol Building to house the opening ceremonies of the Kováts Historical Society and, consequently, of the equestrian order of the Temple of Jerusalem. This opportunity would launch a great Hungarian new year. Therefore Tibor asks ALG to respond as soon as he can. Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.08 Letter : Széll Sándor to ALG 1977/1227
Sándor, now living in Mexico, thanks ALG for his congratulations on the occasion of his new marriage. The day of the marriage ceremony was the day of the patron saint, St. Elisabeth. His wife and he hope that for next year's St. Elisabeth ceremony the Prince and Archduke Habsburg-Lotharing Ottó Károly, who is a direct descendant of St. Elisabeth, will visit them in Mexico. Sándor invites ALG to participate in this event and give a talk on "St. Elisabeth and her era". Before his death, Hungarian Prior Templar, Bokor Pál, designated ALG as Hungarian Bailiff Templar. Thus, this honor prompts ALG to belong to the secret "Counceil Supreme de l'Order", duly assuming the title "Excellence". Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.09 Document : Press Release
On the marriage of Szent-Györgyi Széll Sándor and Alicia Cruces Munoz in Mexico.
- CALG 7/18.10 Letter : Széll Sándor to ALG 1969/0423
Sándor sends information on the events the Hungarian Saint László Society plans for the upcoming milenium year. Since the Society does not have enough funding, he asks ALG to order and pay in advance for the Insignia and for the Golden Chain. There are 24 local organizing committees around the world under the auspicies of the of the Society. With ALG's help a Hungarian Memorial Committee of South Bend could be formed under the leadership of a few leading Hungarian and American personalities. Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.11 Document : Copy of an article having to do with the platform and laws of the Order Societas Sancti Georgii (Order of Saint George) established in 1326 under the Anjou Prince, Hungarian King, Károly Robert. In 1942, when the Royal Hungarian Saint László Society was formed, the board accepted these platforms as mandatory decorum, applying to all members. Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.12 Letter : Dr. Széll Sándor De Duke Et Szent-György, Executive President to ALG 1968/0725
Sándor thanks for ALG's letter and the two dollars he sent for printing of the armour stamps. Since 5 Hungarian families did not pay their duties, Sándor thinks it would be best if ALG donate some funds to the Society to help paint Hungarian saints on the windows of the church. Then ALG's name will be carved in the bronze plaque, along with the other four donors. Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.13 Letter : Dr. Széll Sándor, Hungarian Grand Prior in Exile, to ALG 1967/0902
As of today, the Regent of the Supreme Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem approved of the board of the Hungarian chapter. According to this, ALG, is the master of ceremonies. The cross of the Chivalry costs $8. Hungarian
- CALG 7/18.14 Letter : Mr. John Grosswald to ALG 1968/0310
John thinks that ALG is the Hungarian representative of the Supreme Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem. As they have met several times in Cleveland, he asks ALG to petition his request for membership in this Order with a past. Hungarian

- CALG 7/20.01 Letter : Dr. Rabatin Gyula to ALG 1977/0228
Gyula informs ALG that a verdict already has been made concerning the legal action law suit when he visited Pécs, Hungary, in November 1976. According to the verdict there are two people who have legal possession of ALG's former share of the vineyard. ALG is no longer the proprietor. Gyula thinks that ALG should have started the selling of the property much earlier. He rebuts the insinuation that ALG disbelieves the content of Gyula's past letter, in which he laid the facts before ALG. Should ALG have tried to sell his share of the vineyard, he was to get much less money for it than ALG imagined. Since his brother, Ottó, sold his part, ALG should ask him as well about a fair price for which vineyars can sell. If ALG wishes to take further remedial steps, he needs to send Gyula much more than $200 for the legal charges. Gyula will be happy to help ALG in this legal matter. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.02 Letter : Dr. Rabatin Gyula to ALG 1977/0321
Gyula has made arrangements at Pécs, Hungary, to obtain the legitimate verdict concerning the investigation of the title of ALG's previous vineyard. ALG needs to send Gyula a power of attorney for him to pursue this matter further. Without this warrant the legal court's document can not be released to Gyula. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.03 Letter : ALG to Dr. Rabatin Gyula 1977/0113
ALG is sad to note that he is not happy with the legal services Gyula provided to him. Gyula, as ALG's Hungarian attorney, should have protested the confiscation of ALG's ownership of his property at Pécs, including the irregularities he found. To offset the $200 ALG sent last year, he would like Gyula to obtain the copy of the original legal document, namely the alleged verdict of the suit. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.04 Letter : Dr. Rabatin Gyula to ALG 1976/1210
Gyula informs ALG of the outcome of the suit. ALG's property was "taken over" by the other two proprietors. Moreover, the decision of the court is completely legitimate. The Lower Court of Pécs could not contact ALG in the United States and, thus, the ownership has already been changed at the Land Record Office. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.05 Letter : Dr. Rabatin Gyula to ALG 1976/0928
Gyula sends information concerning the new Hungarian laws having to do with the property purchased by foreign nationalities. To further proceed in selling ALG's property at Makár, Pécs, Gyula thinks it would be best if ALG send a check of $200 through the Hungarian National Bank. Gyula would like to contact ALG's brother, or his sister-in-law, but he has had no luck so far. The Ministry of Finance needs to give approval to ALG to sell his property and then, using this money, to purchase a condominium in Budapest. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.06 Letter : Dr. Rabatin Gyula to ALG 1976/0812
Gyula thanks ALG for his letter of 07/21. If ALG would like Gyula to handle the sales contract of the vineyard property, he is to send a power of attorney to him for this specific purpose. As ALG is not a Hungarian citizen, Gyula informs him of the laws concerning the purchase of a condominium by foreign nationals. Recently, ALG's name was mentioned in the newspaper "Hungary" how he has helped French prisoners of war in the early 1940s. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.07 Document : Land Registration
The Central Corporation of Banking Companies encloses the land registration of ALG's share of the property. It shows that ALG is the proprietor of 5/12 of the land he inherited at Makár, Pécs, Hungary. This statement was sent to ALG in 1976/0319. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.08 Letter : Dr. Csizmadia Andor to ALG 1970/0902
Andor is sorry for returning home sooner than expected and thus he did not meet ALG at the conference. He asks ALG to send a copy of his book "The medieval Universities at Pécs and Pozsony." Andor sends detailed information of the land registration of ALG's share of property in Hungary. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.09 Letter : ALG to Mary 1976/0521
ALG asks Mary to obtain a declaration that clearly states that the property, which is apparently in ALG's name, is leased to the same person who purchased his brother's share in 1958. All these years ALG did not get any payment from the lease and doesn't know who received the money. ALG is sad to note that he didn't even know about the leasehold. With this declaration ALG could be reimbursed. The paper sent by the The Central Corporation of Banking Companies for $40 is useless. Mary's son, Ottó, would like to meet ALG in Zagreb, Yugoslavia. ALG wishes, however, to meet his brother as well. He asks Mary to send him a note about their summer plans in advance as he is busy travelling in Europe. He sends his plans and how he can be reached. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.10 Letter : Mary to ALG 1976/0108
Yesterday, the Embassy's Consular Section called Mary and interviewed her concerning the inheritance of ALG. ALG's request to investigate the status of his property in Hungary is their mandate and now the attache is gathering information. Mary said that the person who leases ALG's share of the property pays a small rent to the state. Mary thinks that ALG should ask for compensation since he is the rightful owner. Also the state confiscated ALG's 3 bedroom apartment, including his library, when he left the country, and for this too ALG should be recompenseted for. Mary sends the bill for the 400 Forints she had to pay for the Embassy. Mary visited Pécs several times to clear up the situation with the land. Ottó travels a lot but came home for Christmas with lots of presents. She lost hope to see ALG next Christmas as ALG has promised to visit them many times but never came. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.11 Letter : The Central Corporation of Banking Companies sends a letter to ALG asking him to be patient as the investigation concerning his immovable estate takes longer time than they expected. Hungarian 1975/1205
- CALG 7/20.12 Letter : Mary to ALG 1975/1119
Mary tries to make arrangements to obtain the land registration from Pécs for ALG. At the office in Budapest she was told to wait at least half a year for the results of their investigation as there are many requests. ALG will not get an official response from the Land Office because Mary is ALG's representative and official in charge. She will send a note to ALG as soon as she has a worthwhile response. Ottó László is studying for his exams at the Kaposvár Agrarian University. Mary thinks that ALG never received the champaign they sent with the Greek lawyer. ALG's small Hungarian family sends its respects. Hungarian
- CALG 7/20.13 Letter : Mary to ALG 1975/0918
Mary thanks ALG for his telephone call to congratulate her on Maria-day. She sends information concerning ALG's property at Pécs. Unfortunately, there is a great chance that the State has already confiscated it. The loss happened at the same time as the inauguration of the agreement between Hungary and the United States according to which American citizens can claim compensation for the confiscation of their property by the Hungarian State. As ALG is pushed for time, Mary urges him to send a complaint letter to the Land Registry Office, Budapest, to Peter Ida. Hungarian

- CALG 7/20.16 Letter : ALG to the General Manager of The Central Corporation of Banking Companies 1975/0714
ALG sends an official note asking the president to recompensate him for the lease payments that the Hungarian state unlawfully instituted on his property and pocketed the money. The property was wrongly declared abandoned asset in 1947. And since it is still in his name, ALG did not ask for its compensation with the American authorities. ALG has never visited Hungary for 28 years. But if he receives the rent payment, retrospectively, he will visit Hungary again and use the money there. Hungarian

- CALG 7/22.02 Letter : Dr. Igaly György to ALG 1992/1210
György thanks ALG for the letter and the package. He is sad to note that the restitution of the Premonstratensians at Gödöllő is unsuccessful. There is a degradation of this Canonical Order and the person who is in charge was not even a student of the Norbertines. With establishing a coed school he misinterprets the whole concept of virtute vinces, thus leading the new school in wrong directions. György would like to be excluded from it. The Hungarian Government should thank ALG for the fact that he accepted their decoration. Hungarian
