ALG has indeed influential friends everywhere since Otto' has already met the KLM's director, Mr. Wisse, who invited him to his apartment in order to talk privately about various job opportunities. - CALG 14/17.02 Letter : Ottó to ALG 1964/0215
Ottó asks ALG for help in finding a job in Budapest by pulling some strings. Now he is looking for temporary employment and might have to sell his car shortly. He had received the passport and the necessary visa for traveling and is making plans to see ALG in May. Hungarian
- CALG 14/17.03 Letter : Ottó to ALG 1964/0609
Ottó is sad not meeting ALG this May and is worried about not receiving letters from him recently. He drove to Austria hoping they will meet but ALG was too busy to come to see him, even for a meager few hours. He understands that ALG is a world-famous, extremely busy professor -- he has read articles about the ceremony for ALG in Krakow, Poland. But he accuses ALG of forgetting about his brother and misinterpreting the idea of "brotherly love". He thanks for the package and the coat ALG sent to his son. Hungarian
- CALG 14/17.04 Letter : Ottó to ALG 1964/1130

He gladly accepts ALG's invitation for a visit to Vienna on May 16th. He only asks ALG to send him the train tickets since now he doesn't have a car. In the near future, he would like to ask ALG to help him buy another one. Hungarian
- CALG 14/18.03 Letter : Ottó to ALG 1965/0325
He informs ALG about his travel arrangements. Ottós friend, Róna, will be taking him by car to Vienna so he doesn't need train tickets any more. If ALG wants him to, he could bring ALG's diploma for him to keep it. Hungarian

He is happy to hear that ALG is planning to visit Europe again this year and wishes to see him. Ottó wants to meet ALG, too, but he can't afford to pay for the trip abroad. - CALG 14/19.03 Letter : Ottó to ALG 1966/0810
Ottó thanks for the letter and ALG's kind words for his birthday. He is sorry to miss the opportunity to meet ALG, but he understands that ALG has a busy schedule. Ottó is surprised that Dr. Molnár's son is asking ALG's help. If everybody asks ALG a favour, Ottó, being his brother, will do the same thing. On behalf of his bosses's, Dr. Kabay Sándor, son he requests information about pursuing studies at a Western-European university. Dr. Kabay has travelled to Paris a lot and now asks ALG's advice in studying at Paris. They must know each other from GödöllÅ‘. Also, it is not only difficult to reach Prof. Gömöri in person, but also he is not willing to give out any information about ALG's diploma over the phone. Hungarian
- CALG 14/19.04 Letter : Ottó to ALG 1966/0917
Ottó thanks for the detailed information regarding getting admitted into a university abroad. He recently met their common friend, Mr. Szél, from the university press. These days, more and more tourists visit Budapest, including Americans, who are clearly well to do people. Ottó, however, even today doesn't own a car. Hungarian
- CALG 14/19.05 Letter : Ottó to ALG 1966/1201
On November 1st, Ottó visited their hometown, Pécs. He asks ALG to inquire at the American Hungarian Consulate about what has happened to his share of the family estate. Now ALG is listed as the rightful owner of the land, but the state considers it abandoned property and sublets it out to somebody. Back in 1957 Ottó requested ALG's section back from the state but to no avail. Neither can he get their stolen furniture back. ALG would not recognize the place where he grew up, should he visit sometimes soon. Due to modern developments, the skyline of Makár, where the family estate is, has changed so drastically that it is almsot unrecognizable. Hungarian
- CALG 14/19.06 Letter : Ottó-László to ALG 1966/1213

It is difficult for Ottó to plan a meeting in Vienna if ALG is busy traveling all over Europe (now in Portugal). But he still hopes for seeing him next week. He leaves for Vienna on the 19th and stays with friends, such as Kurt Spera or Róna Pista, for one week. Hungarian
- CALG 14/20.05 Letter : Ottó to ALG 1967/0701
He is sorry they haven't met and is hoping to see ALG in 1969 again. He thanks for ALG's kind invitation for next year, but the restriction that constrain Hungarian citizens to travel abroad only in every second year to the West, makes it impossible for Ottó to accept it. He also thanks for the money. Hungarian
- CALG 14/20.06 Letter : Mary to ALG 1967/0929
ALG must have forgotten about them because they don't get any letter from him lately. Mary complains about the size of their new apartment, which is as big as one room, but she likes the brand new fixtures. Ottó-László will be received into the Church in October and, following his uncle's footsteps, he'll take up the name Astrik. Next year, they want to send him to the Piarist high-school. The school is very competitive and Ottó's current grades are not good enough for him to get accepted. She asks ALG, who is so well connected in higher circles, to help on his behalf. Hungarian
- CALG 14/20.07 Letter : Mary to ALG 1967/1121
Mary is glad that ALG called the director of the Piarist highschool to admit Ottó-László next year to the school. Without ALG's effort, their son would not get into this great school. When she visited the director, Balogh Ferenc, he already had been waiting for her and knew about the case. Now, the whole family is anxiously waiting for the school's decision. Eventually Ottó and her are hoping for their son to study with his uncle at one of the great American Unviersities. She sends best wishes for ALG's on his birthday. Hungarian

Ottó-Lászlós has been accepted to the Piarist highschool. If it were for his grades alone, and for other personal matters at his school, he would have never gotten into this highschool, now considered the best in the country. Also he asks for another letter of invitation from ALG. With this letter he would be permitted to leave the country and visit ALG who is lecturing in Koppenhagen this spring. Hungarian
- CALG 14/21.02 Letter : Mary to ALG 1968/0201
Mary is happy to find out that Ottó- László will be able to attend the Piarist school next year. She is convinced that it was ALG's influence and connections that helped to fulfill their wish and made all this possible. She remembers ALG from 1946 working together at the Unviersity Press. She hopes to see him again soon. Hungarian
- CALG 14/21.03 Letter : Ottó to ALG 1968/0411
Ottó's application for a passport was rejected, because of the two year restriction, thus he hopes to see ALG next year only. In March, he was thinking of ALG on the occasion of the Hungarian-French conference at Sorbonne. Prof. Bognár didn't want to meet Ottó earlier, consequently he is now reluctant to bother him again. Mary has made arrangements with the Hungarian National Bank to request a condominium in ALG's name. They have to send the trust-deed in three weeks to the bank in order not loose their priviledged spot on the list for this beautiful two room apartment on the Buda side of the city. Mary is happy to help ALG in buying the condo and is already making plans to furnish it. Hungarian

Mary regrets that their plan to buy the condominium in Buda got nowhere. But ALG is right in saying that it was a hasty move and surely he will have better luck next time. Ottó- László got the army's approval to visit ALG. But he will have to be accompanied by a parent. Mary asks ALG to be so kind and send her an affidavit of support in case she has to go. She sends her best wishes to ALG. Hungarian

- CALG 14/26.03 Letter : Mary to ALG 1973/0306
Mary is concerned because she has not received any letter from ALG for a long time. She asks ALG to write soon. Recently, while she has been turning over the pages of ALG's book "Skara House" she noticed with amazement that the book is dedicated to Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bedolfe. But Mary always thought that Barbara Bedolfe, ALG's friend, is not a married woman. Now she is confused and a little jelous too. She has met both Prof. Klaniczay and Prof. Bognar several times and they have both left a good impression on her. Hungarian

She enshrines a photo, cut out long time ago from a newspaper, which shows the two world-known professors together, ALG and Albert Einstein. Hungarian
