Thinks that this is an incorrect characterization of Jaegerstaetter. Contends that he served two periods of service in the German army before reaching the point of a conscientious objector in the war against the Nazi regime. Discusses canonization and says that while he is not promoting it for Jaegerstaetter he still hopes Monsignor Sarno reviews Franz Jaegerstaetter's case with greater care and hopes he will not make any more inaccurate assertions concerning this martyr.

The only point he did not follow is the one about the failure of the women's ordination people to take advantage of existing "rights" legislation to force their way into seminaries. However, he agrees that such laws have made bishops and others more sensitive to the weaknesses of the current situation. The point he makes is that it will not force open the doors of seminaries for homosexual candidates.

Mentions last week's Supreme Court decision concerning the issue of abortion and says that a statement by Pax Christi should be issued which basically reaffirms Pax Christi's opposition to abortion.

All three groups gave positive feedback on the report. Thanks him again for all of his help.

Since America was involved in the controversy, they deserved first refusal of the publication and that refusal came fast. He has sent the article elsewhere, but has heard nothing yet.
