Duhommiel, Monsieur Louis Charles, infantry officer and his wife Dame Catherine Chauvin de la Freniere sell to Louis Cesaire Le Bretton assessor councilor of the Superior Council of La. twelve arpents of land at Les Col(1)apissa(s) between the land of Sieurs Le Bretton and Joseph Girardy, which things were stipulated in the act of gifts made of this land to Monsieur Jean Paul Le Seur on Feb. 17, 1736-- appended to this cession is that of four arpents and about a third along the Mississippi in a place formerly called "la Cypriere des Chapitoulas (Tchoupitoulas)" which was the share of the Dame Duhommiel co-heir to the late Monsieur Nicolas Chauvin de la Freniere her father, a counselor. This sale was made in accordance with an ordinance of Monsieur (______) Michel after three publications by Marin Le Normand. Witnessed by Sieur Augustin Chantalou and Joseph Pelisson.
