Although he does not personally know (______) he asks his support in his demand to Father Ant(onio) de Sedella, (auxiliary vicar) for the vacant parish of Ste. Genevieve, (Missouri). He has very little to live on at Kaskacias because the people are migrating. The vicar apostolic (Father Pierre Huet de la Valiniere has persuaded him not to return to France. He has met Father Bernard (von Limpach), O.M.Cap., pastor at St. Louis, (Missouri) and he seems to approve of this request; if it is granted both he and Father Bernard will derive satisfaction from being on the same side of the river and the people will be benefited. He pays his respects.
