Fathers White and Lennan notified him of the death on April 18 of Father William Savage, Irish priest at Natchez. Don J(oseph) (Manuel) Gayoso (de Lemos), governor of Natchez says that Father White is capable of discharging the duties of pastor at the vacant post. Father Lennan could then be moved to Colecres. Henriquez, (Father) Theodoro Thirso Henrique
New Orleans

Father White is to be transferred to Natchez and Father Lennan to Colecres since the church there is finished and fitted with the necessary ornaments which things are lacking at Nogales. He orders that the said fathers be notified and that they make as soon as possible inventories of the goods of the parishes they are leaving as also of those they will occupy.
