Through the Audiencia and royal chancery of the city of St. Mary of Puerto Principe of the Island of Cuba, by reason of the petition made in the name of Father Quesada of the Convent of Our Lady of Mercy seeking to determine to which metropolitan he must apply for appeal in the decision made in the ecclesiastical curia, the following decree was drawn up:

The Audiencia rules that the nearest bishop should hear the case, which was ordered sent to all the bishops of the district requesting that they reply as soon as they receive it.
