Bermudes, Fran(cis)co
to Bishop (Luis Penalver y Cardenas) Fran(cis)ca Reyne, wife of Juan Bautista Carraby states that the daily mistreatment from her husband, so that she has to flee from the house with her six children to avoid him, his spending of her dowry and the legacy from his father, and the impossibility of his working because of drunkenness, makes her ask for a separation. She asks (Penalver) to hear her case. It is impossible to continue as she has three daughters who daily are exposed to hearing the words her husband uses when drunk, all of which is very harmful for their edification and chances for marriage.
