Hassett, Father Thomas
to Manuel de Salcedo Hassett sends Morales' letter to ask if Salcedo can give his consent to what is asked. Hassett thinks it would be fitting for Gilberto Guillemard to examine the roof as he is qualified to estimate what is to be done. A. Copy S. (Spanish)

Hassett, Father Thomas
to Ant(oni)o Morales Hassett has no objection to the repairs Morales proposes in his letter of the 10th, but Hassett must mention that the Vice-Patron and he agree that no expenditure is to be made beyond what is indispensable since the rumors may be verified that this province is to be returned. Therefore the white washing of the church is to be left out. A. Copy S. (Spanish)
